Pay for what it’s allowed to do.

Every plan reads your connected tools and prepares the work. What separates them is how far the operator is permitted to go on its own — and that boundary is enforced in the billing layer, not just described on this page.

Operator includes a 14-day trial. During the trial the operator sends live but capped: 100 sends in total and no more than 20 per channel per day, so a misconfigured plan cannot reach your whole customer list while you are still deciding. A card is required before the first live send.

Questions

The ones
owners actually ask.

What happens during the trial?
The operator runs live, capped. You get 100 live sends in total and no more than 20 per channel per day, so a misconfigured plan cannot burn through your customer list while you are still evaluating it. A card is required before the first live send.
Why can't Advisory send anything?
Because that is the point of it. Advisory reads your connected tools and prepares the work, and you send it. If you want the operator to send, that is Operator or above — the difference is enforced in the billing layer, not just described here.
Does it ever act without me?
Not unless you explicitly hand it a lane. Every outbound action starts approval-gated: prepared, shown to you with the exact change, and held. After a send type builds a clean approval streak, you can flip that one lane to earned-auto — and you can pause or revoke it at any time. Nothing grants itself, and provider writes additionally sit behind an environment kill switch that is off by default.
What if I go over my monthly allowance?
There is no automated overage billing at all — going over an allowance can never show up as a surprise line item. Trial sending pauses hard at the trial caps, and monthly allowances are confirmed with you at setup before they are enforced.
Can I change plans later?
Yes — tell us and we arrange the change with you. There is no self-serve plan-switching button today, so nothing about your billing ever changes behind one.
What do I need before setup?
Admin access to Housecall Pro and QuickBooks, and a Google account for the workspace. The operator reads those to build your first owner queue — it cannot do anything useful without at least one of them connected.
